I’m enrolled in iPEC’s certification program and am excited to be in the process of becoming a Certified Professional Coach! iPEC, which stands for Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching, is a highly respected program accredited by the International Coach Federation (ICF), and I’ve been blown away by the caliber of the people I’ve met so far.

I attended the first module—a 30-hour long training—in Denver the week before my cross-country move and met the coolest people, many of whom I hope will become lifelong friends and colleagues. It's amazing how well you can get to know a couple dozen people in a few short days. On the last day of training, I surprised myself when a flood of emotions poured out in the form of unstoppable tears.

They say moving is one of THE most stressful life events, and it's true. With my move from Colorado to NJ imminent, I had been so stressed going into the training weekend that all those feelings of anticipated loss, uncertainty and sadness came rushing back by the end. I couldn't help but wonder - why didn't I meet all of these wonderful people sooner?! I've lived in Denver for four years and am just now finding a community, right as I'm about to leave. But one of the greatest takeaways from the training was that I am exactly where I am supposed to be at this moment in time. The weekend was a gift that offered insight into who I am and gave me coaching tools I'm excited to start using with others.

To anyone kicking the tires on professional coaching, there is no time like the present. My package rates will be going up soon, so now is a great time to dive in and give it a try!

In the meantime, I'd like to take you with me on this journey...
